What You Get for the Visit

This service provides a compliance-focused emergency lighting attendance to inspect, test, and assess emergency lighting systems in accordance with BS 5266-1, and issue certification where systems are compliant.

This service is intended for statutory compliance, not fault repair.

Included in the Visit:

• Attendance by a 2-person competent team

• Inspection of installed emergency lighting systems

• Functional and duration testing as required for certification

• Identification of non-compliances or failures

• Photographic evidence where relevant

• A written compliance report

• Emergency Lighting Compliance Certificate (where systems pass)

Not Included:

• Replacement of fittings, batteries, lamps, or controls

• Remedial works to achieve compliance

• Design changes or system upgrades

• Ongoing monthly in-house testing

Any failures or non-compliances are reported separately with recommendations.

What You Get for the Visit

This service provides a focused attendance to assess issues with internal fixtures, fittings, or joinery, make the area safe where necessary, and define the correct next steps before any further works are undertaken.

Included in the Visit:

• Attendance by a 2-person experienced team

• Inspection of the reported fixtures, fittings, or joinery issue

• Identification of the likely cause (wear, damage, fixings, misuse)

• Make-safe actions where reasonably practicable (securing, stabilising, temporary fixes)

• Identification of health and safety risks to customers or staff

• Photographic evidence where relevant

• A clear written summary outlining findings and recommended next steps

Not Included:

• Permanent repairs or replacements

• Bespoke manufacture or joinery works

• Supply of materials or components

• Refurbishment or cosmetic upgrades

When to Use This Service:

• The fault is unknown

• More than one issue is present

• More than one trade may be required

• A clear scope is needed before approving works

RESPONSE TIER – IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ)

The tier you choose determines how quickly we attend and the cost of the visit.

• Tier 1 – Planned: Non-urgent issues. Attendance within 3–5 working days. Lowest cost.
• Tier 2 – Urgent: Issues affecting operations. Attendance within 48 hours. Higher cost.
• Tier 3 – Emergency: Safety-critical or trading-stopping issues. Attendance within 24 hours. Highest cost.
